On the evening of June 6th, 2023, the glitterati of New York City gathered for an event that effortlessly blended style, taste, and culture. Nestled in the city's heart, the Franciacorta & Slowear Dinner titled 'Vivere Italiano' painted an eloquent picture of Italian luxury. With exquisite wines and sumptuous fashion, the evening was a perfect homage to La Dolce Vita.
The dinner unfolded in the chic interiors of Slowear, located at 330 Lafayette Street. Guests were greeted with effervescent glasses of Franciacorta as the night began with an aperitif. The air was imbued with a sense of sophistication and camaraderie as conversations buzzed around Italian winemaking and Slowear’s timeless pieces.
The winemakers shared their passion and knowledge, offering guests a sip into the heritage of Franciacorta, Italy’s crown jewel in the realm of sparkling wines.

Nestled in the Lombardy region, Franciacorta is a designated area where Italy’s most prized sparkling wines are born. Silvano Brescianini, who spearheaded the wine offerings of the night, shared that Franciacorta is made using the traditional method, similar to Champagne, but what sets it apart is the terroir and the Italian touch.
The night featured a selection of Franciacorta, which guests were seen savoring. Following the gentle clinking of glasses, guests were ushered into an immaculately set dining featuring a thoughtfully curated menu that blended tradition with innovation, all with a nod to Franciacorta and Slowear’s ethos of quality and sustainability.
The dinner saw an ensemble of well-known faces among the attendees, adding an extra layer of allure to the event. Deon Hinton, the fashion influencer known for his eclectic style, gracefully mingled with the crowd, embodying the essence of ‘Vivere Italiano’ through his outfit that effortlessly blended contemporary and classic elements. Mary Leest, the international model and fashion sensation, epitomized elegance as she donned an ethereal piece from Slowear’s latest collection. Her presence resonated with the fashionable essence of the night.
Continuing the cavalcade of notable personalities, Nick Sullivan, the esteemed Creative Director and a legend in the men's fashion editorial world, was also in attendance. His sharp eye for detail and craftsmanship was evident as he admired Slowear’s delicate fabrics and shared his thoughts on the intersections between Italian fashion and New York’s style sensibilities. As the night drew to a close, it was evident that 'Vivere Italiano' had been brought to life in New York City.
