It feels like it was only yesterday we celebrated our third anniversary at Death & Co's dark and moody cocktail lounge. Last night, amidst the bustle of New York Fashion Week, we welcomed our closest friends and collaborators to American Cut for an intimate dinner celebration to honor our fourth anniversary in partnership with The Macallan.
The evening began with a cocktail hour —guests enjoyed whiskey sours as they mingled about plans for the upcoming weekend while also sharing congratulatory sentiments with members of the BOND OFFICIAL team.
In attendance were Igee Okafor (Editor-In-Chief of BOND OFFICIAL), Ben Brewster, Caleb Thill, Marcel Floruss, Jovel Roystan, Delanique Millwood, Jeremy Mitchell, Robert Lee, Oneil Gardner, Molly Melville (The Macallan Brand Ambassador), Maximilian Koenig, Ty Gaskins, Steve Gonzalez, Cole Habersham, Joshua Renfroe, JoeKenneth, Whitney Madueke, Brandon Murphy, Marcus Richardson, Serena Goh, and Devyn Downs.
Following cocktail hour, the seated dinner took place. Following American Cut's signature biscuits with veggie cream biscuits for appetizers, guests enjoyed Shrimp Cocktail and a Caesar salad for the first course.
Right before the second course, Delanique Millwood addressed guests with warm-hearted liking honoring her long friendship with Igee Okafor and growth in friendship and business. "We met almost ten years ago, and who knew our friendship would bring us here." she continued, "If you look around the room, you can see a reflection of the brand, our hearts, and our hard work."
Editor-In-Chief Igee Okafor said to add, "Our entire purpose has always stayed alongside the lines of doing our best to shift modern culture. We want to inspire, support, and collaborate, and tonight, we couldn't be more grateful to be surrounded by people who exemplify the same values."
Molly Melville made closing remarks on behalf of partner, The Macallan. Before cheering guests to gently sip on the 15-year double cask single malt scotch whisky, she honored the brand's partnership with BOND OFFICIAL. Briefly, she shared some fun facts about how the perfect harmony of two oaks into one exceptional single malt whisky came about.
Shortly after toasts to friendship, the night's hosts, and guests, everyone enjoyed a choice of filet mignon, seared salmon, and baked chicken for their second course. For dessert, a chef selects bite-sized cheese and chocolate cake. Sláinte Mhath!
