On the night of February 3, 2022, man-about-town Zachary Weiss hosted a chic cocktail party to preview Peakaboo’s cocktail bar and lounge at Hudson Yards.
The night gave a taste of what’s to come for New York City’s sophisticated nightlife: charming party guests making new connections in great comfort and lavish living.
For the occasion, Weiss gathered a stylish set of friends including Ivy Getty and husband Tobias Alexander Engel, Fernando Garcia, and Alex Lundqvist to name a few. Taking in sensational views from the 101st floor, guests enjoyed ample amounts of Ruinart and Dom Perignon while freshly shucked oysters and caviar topped tater tots circulated the 45-seat lounge.
The venue itself is beautifully designed. As guests arrive, they are greeted with a gorgeous bar and floor to ceiling windows that offer views of the New York City Skyline and Hudson River. There’s also a small mirror polished champagne metal ceiling that reflects the skyline throughout the space.
“Peakaboo is on another level, quite literally. There’s no other place in Manhattan where you can have a cocktail in the clouds.” Weiss said, referring to the venue’s sky height. He continued, “Tonight, we’ve got a room full of true New Yorkers. The view may bring in the tourists, but you can’t keep the locals unless the food and drink are top notch. Luckily, we’ve got both.”
