The Crow’s Nest Restaurant is one of Montauk’s most desired restaurants and pin pointing why isn’t hard to do. It’s a very distinctive establishment surrounded by the most beautiful landscape scenery - lots of land and lots of water. Its appeal in comparison to some of the other restaurants located in the area lies in the fashionable crowd that it attracts, its decor scheme, and its unassuming service.
Adorned in “shack chic” furnishings highlighting the overall essence of being nestled on the sea side, the kind of refinement the Crow’s Nest restaurant brews ensures one is highly delighted during their visit. Guests can look forward to an interior that is homely and all embracing, a crystal clear feature of wooden furniture, a very lively bar area, and an uncluttered dining room observing the well lit lawn that leads off to the waterfront.
On a nice looking summer day, eating outside is an absolute must to really take in the view. In the course of the evening however, all the stops are pulled out for what some will consider the perfect summer evening: a fire pit, torches, and string fairy lights against the signature waterfront view. It doesn’t get more impressive than that for summer. Stargaze if you want to, the scene is magical.
When it comes to food and drinks, the restaurant is most known for its fresh ricotta but BOND OFFICIAL favorites include the Chicken Gyro for lunch, and the grilled Octopus special for dinner when they’re offering it. The chicken gyro is made with pita bread, feta cheese, and scallion yogurt while the well seasoned grilled octopus is served with a fresh salad. The rate of the overall menu is quite high priced especially if you’ll want drinks but it’s worth it and in said case, the Watermelon cooler and the recommended red wine should do.
The restaurant is open seasonally and peaks from July to August. With its no reservation policy, lunchtime is usually fine to get seated but for dinner, it is recommended that guests should plan to arrive around 5:30pm or 6:00pm to receive a table at a decent time. Getting seated immediately can be a lofty goal at The Crow’s Nest Restaurant since it’s such a summer hot spot but getting your name on the list and relaxing with some refreshments on the lawn or by the water until your table is ready can be just as remarkable.
Its ambience is unmatched to any other in Montauk and it’s sure to stay this way for a long time.
