For Autumn/Winter 2022, Teddy Vonranson has taken inspiration from his metaphorical “North Beach”
to flawlessly combine both the functional and the fashionable aspects of wardrobe design.
5 MINS READ TIME
When a man is forced to go into his office despite the icy tundra that may be welcoming him outside the four walls of his home, putting on that sweater, peacoat, or corduroy pant can provide an exterior and interior warmth inside him, lifting his spirits just enough to get him through the day.
Impressed by the similar ways surfers, skiers, and snowboarders layer technical fashion pieces, Teddy Vonranson reimagined an assortment of clothing worthy of excitement. It’s the kind of elation that sees the wearer just as thrilled to put on the clothes as they are completing the activity they’d be performing.
Featuring a chic collection of exuberant outerwear, Mr. Vonranson gives a plethora of options for the modern gentleman to choose from. “I wanted to explore literal and metaphorical winter beaches: the die-hard surfers in the chilly winter waters of California and the ice-capped breakers of northeastern beaches, the slopes from Lake Placid to Aspen to Mammoth where moguls and half-pipes emulate the waves.”
Front and center in the collection is a “painted print” on a woolen topcoat that evoked “sunsets over cold ocean waters and artful skies of the Northern lights.”
From the ski masks, down to the boots: even the accessories of the collection can make any man ready to take on the rest of the winter with a sense of confidence and ease.
This collection by Teddy Vonranson shouts the message loud and clear that you can indeed be colorful and chic on the streets of New York when the temperature is in the teens.

There are marvelous mustard yellows on a single look consisting of a parka jacket, trousers, thermals, cable-knit sweater, and turtleneck. The collection also features lime greens, browns, burgundy, and blues within a single look, an aubergine and violet hue done in a double-faced peacoat with a matching hat and a Canadian corduroy tuxedo.
