Loewe FW22

WORDS BY,

JORDAN TURNER

LOEWE Fall Winter 2022 collection pleads a case of illusion;

nothing is quite as it seems.

2 MINS READ TIME

The show was held under a site-specific installation by Joe McShea and Edgar Mosa, where thousands of individually cut ribbons (faceless flags) hang. Symbolic of being stripped of meaning, the flags ebb and flow between the models and audience.

Stand out moments were made with nonsensical dresses, silhouettes that stretched and twist across the body in black and white, transparent oiled leather coats, and quirky briefs. Among the illusions and displacements, it all creates a reality that exists on its own.

Tightly edited, direct in concept, and trans seasonal, LOEWE’s FW22 collection shows exactly why Jonathan Anderson is the leader of interesting silhouettes.
